Created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary, The Bar With No Name debuted in CAPTAIN AMERICA (1968) #318. The location was originally intended as a peaceful place for villains to hang out. There’s even a policy against fighting, which has been on several occasions been enforced against heroes trying to bust villains For example, in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1999) #563, Peter Parker entered The Bar With No Name in search of a villain. Jongho’s pace quickens as he reaches your familiar hallway. His feet seem to know the way by now, as his mind is completely locked onto you and not where he’s walking. Still he finds himself in front of your sweet, perfectly ‘you’ welcome mat. His muscle memory follows what he’s done a hundred times, taking the keys you’d given him months ago and unlocking your front door.

It’s oddly silent inside your apartment. Usually it’s filled with your energy, which seems to infiltrate everything you come into contact with. Including Jongho. He walks further in, knocking on the door of your bedroom. He sees a bundle of blankets sat in the middle of your bed and he figures it’s you sulking. Imagining your body smothered by all the fabric makes him smile.

Jongho slides onto your sheets next to you, trying to bring his arm around the pounds of fabric surrounding you, “Hey,”

He feels you shift and finally your head pops out of the makeshift cocoon. There’s bags under your eyes and you’re still in your pajamas. There’s a pang in Jongho’s heart that always seems to hit when he’s with you. It’s familiar, and he knows it’s that same urge he has to make sure you never have to lift another pretty finger again. It’s not possible to bend the laws of everything, but he thinks if he tries hard enough, he can cater the world to your every need. He’ll try.

You plop your head onto his shoulder, “Hey,”

He presses a kiss to the crown of your head, taking in the scent of your shampoo, “Bad day?”

You look up at him with the saddest eyes and he can’t help but coo at you, “Jjong, I haven’t even gotten out of bed today,”

He hums, “Mmm, s’okay, I only got dressed to see you,”

He turns to look at you when he hears you laugh, hoping to catch a glance of the smile he sees in even in his dreams. You raise your arm to let him into your cocoon and he scoots in, moving you so you’re comfortably in his lap. He wraps the blankets back around the two of you, letting you curl in and forget about everything else.

“But I’m like this all the time,” you mutter after a beat of silence, “Doesn’t it suck we have to live for like 80 more years?”

He knows that it does and will continue to ‘suck’ for you. What with needing constant medications just to function, and he’s seen how ‘low’ your ‘lows’ can get. But, he likes to remind you that he’s always been the one to bring you back up. He’s handed you every brick you’ve used to build yourself.

“No,” Jongho thinks for a moment, “‘Cause I get more time to take care of you.”

You turn to look at him with a cheeky smile, ready to tease him but he shuts you up with a roll of his eyes, “Be quiet.”

You lean into him, giggling as he pretends to smother you in his arms, “I wasn’t going to say anything!”

Jongho grumbles something about ‘ruining his reputation’ but you can’t really hear over the sound of your laughter. His hoodie smells like cinnamon and his perfect brown hair falls into your eyes. It’s a nice day, but you’ll spend it inside with your boyfriend.

I think acting like Jimmy’s struggles on Earth were like legal or related to being a criminal are so odd. Not in a bad way but just odd.

Like don’t get me wrong, I personally believe he’s had a run in with the law but I feel like it’d be minor, not even something that would get him a record. It could’ve, but it was dropped, not worth the time to pursue someone that down on their luck, probably not a dime to his name.

He’s a bad guy don’t get me wrong but it’s seems like his issues were with not being well-adjusted? In the whole sense, he’s snarky and unnecessary rude. He’s quick to anger and says things to pit people against each other. He likely doesn’t have many friends and we know he’s not financially well. I think tacking on bad traits diminishes the fact of what he did. Trying to fit him to that obviously evil arch type is a little bland to what he actually is. He’s normal enough to be a minor blip on the radar and that’s how he gets away with what he does.

Jimmy is ultimately scared of being in trouble. He gets into it but panics. He hates being confronted and he just doesn’t do things were he knows or perceives a bad outcome will happen to him.

How do you think Cosmos and the cassettes would get along?

Auuaaaa thank you for the ask!! I love the potential dynamics between Cosmos and Soundwave’s recordicons.

Each of the cassettes get along with Cosmos differently!

Rumble and Frenzy warm up to Cosmos first only because they get bored of keeping their distance and actually realize Cosmos is kinda fun to be around. Cosmos isn’t afraid to toss the two around so they get rowdy with eachother a lot and Rumble and Frenzy like to try and take Cosmos down together (spoiler: Cosmos is very strong and very heavy because he’s built to carry a lot of weight, so usually they get tossed against the nearest surface before doing any kind of damage). It’s all good fun though. Sometimes they just chill and play video games together. Sometimes Rumble and Frenzy decide they want to go on an adventure and drag Cosmos along just to be their personal taxi. The two love to pretend they find him annoying and hate hanging out with him, but really they think he’s fun to be around.

Buzzsaw and Lazerbeak only really warm up to Cosmos at Soundwave’s insistence (and bc Soundwave is always hanging out with the stupid autobot), but they still like to be REALLY mean to him. They aren’t the kinds of mechs to censor themselves for anyone else, so they tease him a lot and pick at him whenever they get the chance. Cosmos doesn’t mind the teasing, he’s got plenty of snappy comebacks of his own. They also like stealing his stuff and blaming it on Soundwave or the other recordicons. Laserbeak is nicer to Cosmos than Buzzsaw, but really not by that much. They do like the guy though, he’s a nice warm perch and he’s surprisingly good at preening their feathers.

Ravage likes to keep her feelings about Cosmos ambiguous. She’ll never admit to liking him or disliking him , but she doesn’t actively try to kill him so that counts for something. She loves sneaking up on him and scaring him, but also likes using him as a personal heating pad. The most one-on-one time they have together is them reading together (ie ravage reading over Cosmos’ shoulder) but that’s really it. (she does eventually, begrudgingly admit that she’s okay with him. He treats Soundwave very well and is very respectful to her, so she can’t really complain that much. Doesn’t mean she won’t pop him over the head just because she feels like it.)

hilarious how for 3/4 of the minish cap link's only way to access the cloud tops was constantly having to climb the giant beanstalks from the ground up. like link in skyward sword got access to the bird statues that swirled him back up to the sky the minute he landed on the surface and you physically can't get to the city in the sky in twilight princess without the very convenient sky cannon but in the minish cap you don't get access to the very convenient tornado that sends you up to the wind tribe/palace of winds until almost the end of the game. at least he's able to walk on the clouds but you gotta love how they were like "if this kid wants up there he's gonna have to fucking work for it" and lo and behold

Love how whenever I find a post talking in defence of Ares, it makes the point that he's one of the few God's not to rape. Which is nearly always followed by a footnote or something in brackets along the lines of: "I know, I know, the bar is in the Underworld here but just bare with me".

Also after wondering why characters who should have brown eyes don't in the OTHER show, watching a show where the vast majority of their characters have brown eyes is mind blowing

I've heard so many excuses as to why they "couldn't have characters with brown eyes in animation".
